The system came into force from Monday, May 17, and has allowed overseas holidays to resume to countries placed on a green list which includes the likes of Portugal, Iceland and Israel.
Just 12 countries in total made it on to the first green list, which will be reviewed again in three weeks time. Since the rules were put in place, there has been confusion on whether people could fly to amber list countries for leisure, as long as they quarantine on their return for ten days.
