A money saving specialist from WhichUK has pointed out that some households may be unnecessarily shelling out for boiler cover.
He noted that people could spend up to £100 a year on such protection, which might not be essential. Even though a lot of people think they need it, it turns out they may be losing more than they're gaining.
In a TikTok video, he explained: "An annual boiler package costs, on average, £180 every year. But, since the average service costs just £76 per year, then if you pay as you go, year by year, and you don't need any repairs - well, you're saving over £100 a year by not having cover.
