Simon Jordan makes Man City APT point as Premier League vote outcome revealed

Former Crystal Palace owner turned pundit Simon Jordan has said that he agrees with Man City for their resistance to the Premier League’s Associated Party Transaction (APT) rules, but has criticised both the club and the league for their communication between each other.

The league held a vote regarding the APT rules on Friday, with City being backed by Aston Villa, who wrote to the Premier League asking for the vote to be cancelled.

It comes after a case between City and the Premier League last month. Both parties claimed victory after City challenged the rules with some elements found to be unlawful.

The vote on the rule changes did go ahead as planned, with it not going the way that City would have hoped. 16 teams voted in favour of the new rules, with 14 needed to pass.
