Simon Jordan reckons a rhetoric fuelled by former Scotland first ministers Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond is partly behind the booing at Hampden on Tuesday night. The Tartan Army all but drowned out the UK anthem played prior to Flower of Scotland with a chorus of boos and whistles while English players tried to sing with it.

Goals form Phil Foden Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane eventually sealed a 3-1 win for the Three Lions in the friendly match that brought in 150 years of the SFA, but the booing has been a talking point.A fiery debate ensued between talkSPORT host Jim White, former Crystal Palace owner Jordan and ex-Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy over the flashpoint.

Jordan reckons it's partly down to the former SNP leaders. He said: "We are talking now about the reflection of national symbols and we are talking about a culture in Scotland right now that Nicola Sturgeon and Salmond have fuelled."A very divisive set of sentiments that have amplified the scenario.

I am not offended by this, I am just slightly disappointed by it."I think football fans or a certain segment of football fans are rather imbecilic.
