Simon Jordan has called for a change of Financial Fair Play rules that could impact Manchester United in the future. United confirmed on Christmas Eve that Sir Jim Ratcliffe had acquired a minority 25 per cent stake in the club.
The announcement brought an end to the long-running saga concerning the club's ownership picture dating back to November 2022, when the Glazer family stated their intention to conduct a strategic review of their ownership.
The completion of Ratcliffe’s purchase, pending approval, means that the INEOS will take control of United’s football operations across all levels of the club.
Ratcliffe also has first refusal over any shares that the Glazer family wish to sell.
