Simon Cowell Shares an Update on His Recovery After Last Year's Bike Accident

Simon Cowell is luckily doing much better. In a new interview, the 61-year-old America’s Got Talent judge update shared an update on his recovery after breaking his back in bike accident last year. “The first four weeks were the hardest,” Simon recalled to Entertainment Tonight. “Because you feel kind of helpless, and it was the first time in my life I’ve ever felt helpless…Then you’re bored and frustrated, and I was in so much pain, if I’m being honest with you.” Back in August, Simon underwent a six-hour spinal surgery after breaking his back in a bike accident.

After several months on bed rest, Simon was able to travel to Barbados to celebrate the holidays with his family.
