Simon Cowell says he was 'lucky' to break his back as he 'didn't get Covid'

Simon Cowell, 61, has branded himself "lucky" for breaking his back after falling off his electric bike, as it meant he couldn't travel.

Promoting the new series of America’s Got Talent, the star candidly admitted that the accident was a blessing in disguise as it put a stop to him travelling during the coronavirus pandemic.Addressing the tragic accident which occured at his LA home in August last year, the star spoke openly about the extent of his injuries.He said: "I was a millimetre away from just cutting my back in half."So I consider myself lucky."Simon went on to reveal that he sees the accident in a positive light - as it stopped him from continuing his jet-set lifestyle amid the coronavirus pandemic.“Weirdly, it was a good thing.
