Simon Cowell may not be able to walk for months after breaking his back. Insiders say that doctors have warned the X Factor boss that he faces a difficult road to recovery from his injury.

Simon, 60, broke his back when he fell off his electric bike while testing it outside his home in Malibu. He was rushed into a six-hour emergency surgery, and is said to be recovering well.

But he still faces a long road and intense physical therapy before he's back on his feet. It's said Simon might also have to wear a back brace.

A source told The Sun : "It’s going to take him weeks, maybe months." The Mirror revealed earlier tonight that Simon was riding "the fastest bike on earth" when he suffered his injuries.
