The seizure is linked to a successful operation to diffuse a violent feud between two Cheetham Hill gangs. Several people have been shot, with homes and cars also blasted in the dispute which erupted in autumn 2019 and is believed to be a drugs turf war.
The situation was complicated when a crime gang from Salford clashed with one of the Cheetham Hill groups. GMP launched Operation Haemus to tackle the feud in November 2019.
