Shondaland’s White House Murder Mystery Series ‘The Residence’ Drops First Teaser
variety.comJoe Otterson TV Reporter Netflix has released the first teaser for the murder mystery series “The Residence.” The Shondaland series will premiere on Netflix on March 20.
Uzo Aduba stars as detective Cordelia Cupp, who must investigate a murder at the White House. It is inspired by the book of the same name by Kate Andersen Brower.
It will consist of eight episodes. Watch the teaser below. The official logline for the show states, “132 rooms. 157 suspects.
One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous State Dinner. The Residence is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion.” Along with Aduba, the ensemble cast of the series include: Giancarlo Esposito as A.B.
