Joe Otterson TV Reporter The live-action “Dungeons & Dragons” TV series has found new life. Variety has confirmed with sources that a new iteration of the project is currently in development at Netflix.
There had previously been a “DnD” series set up at Paramount+ with a series order, but that project ultimately did not move forward due to strategic shifts at Paramount as well as the sale of co-studio eOne by Hasbro.
Hasbro Entertainment is also behind the new project. The series is currently titled “The Forgotten Realms,” named after the famous “DnD” campaign setting.
Drew Crevello, who was previously attached as the showrunner of the Paramount+ project, will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the Netflix version.
