The drivers of a lorry and mobile crane which slammed into each other on the M60 this morning miraculously escaped without any serious injuries.
Images of the crash show a number of vehicles stopped and the crane lying on its side after smashing through barriers on the outside of the anti-clockwise carriageway near junction 21.
The lorry is thought to have spun around and slammed into the central reservation. The incident caused all lanes to be shut off as police, paramedics and firefighters rushed to the scene.
