Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi suffered some gruesome injuries after a challenge Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in their 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
Vardy caught Mustafi in the face with his boot during the match, leaving the German with two stud marks in his face.The forward was not punished by officials and the incident was not reviewed by VAR, with Vardy on the field to score a late equaliser for the Foxes.Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was left furious after Eddie Nketiah was sent off for a poor challenge on James Justin, with a VAR review by referee Chris Kavanagh leading to his punishment being upgraded from a yellow card to a red card.Arteta questioned why VAR got involved for Nketiah's dismissal but Vardy's challenge on Mustafi was not.
