As Elon Musk‘s Department of Government Efficiency continues stripping federal agencies for parts, Sheryl Crow is getting rid of her used clunker.

The 9x Grammy winner recently got rid of her Musk-manufactured Tesla and pledged the profits to NPR, into which Trump-appointed FCC chairman Brendan Carr has launched an investigation into the independent media outlet. “My parents always said… you are who you hang out with,” Crow captioned a video of herself waving goodbye to the vehicle on the back of a tow truck. “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with.

So long Tesla,” she continued. “Money donated to @npr, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth. #PresidentMusk #PresidentTrump #Call1-202-224-3141 #ProtectTheConstitution” Carr has suggested NPR and PBS’s programming have crossed “into prohibited commercial advertisements,” reasoning that an investigation would determine “whether to stop requiring taxpayers to subsidize” the networks.

A post shared by Sheryl Crow (@sherylcrow) Musk has long had it out for NPR, threatening to take away their Twitter handle in 2023.
