A female prison officer exchanged explicit messages with three serving prisoners and also sent money to one inmate when he was transferred to prison in Manchester.
Sarah Williams 'fell into the traps and into the arms of sophisticated criminals', said Matthew O’Neill, her defence solicitor.
He told Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday (December 21) that Williams 'fell for the charms of these prisoners'. Williams knew that the three men - all with connections to organised crime groups - had mobile phones in their cells.
