We’re halfway through filming Deadpool, co-starring Wolverine. It was a joy every day and that chemistry is as relentless as we all hoped it would be.” The threequel to the 20th Century Studios/Marvel Studios movie is currently scheduled to open in theaters on May 3. “Our crew and the rest of us are awaiting a fair and equitable deal that ends these strikes and puts this industry, inclusive of our movie, back at work,” Levy continued.

The previous two Deadpools were release under 20th Century Fox, and the third film here is the first hatched under the Kevin Feige-run Disney owned Marvel, post-merger.

Combined, but Deadpool movies grossed $1.56 billion and paved the way for R-rated Marvel movies for mass, not limited, audience.
