Shaun Maloney admits he was gutted he couldn’t be in the Hampden dugout on Sunday – but the new Hibs boss has vowed he’ll fight to bring silverware to Easter Road in the future.
The 38-year-old was installed in Leith on a three-and-a-half year deal after leaving his role as Roberto Martinez’s assistant with the Belgium national side.
Maloney was left frustrated as the move couldn’t be rubber stamped in time for the Premier Sports Cup Final defeat to Celtic.
