Shane MacGowan's widow 'contacted by his ghost' following tragic death

Shane passed away in November 2023 from pneumonia, following a lengthy health battle. He left behind his wife Victoria, 57.The pair married in 2018 after an 11-year engagement.
Victoria has been sharing her experience of grief on social media following her husband's passing, and at the start of 2024 revealed she felt she'd been visited by Shane's ghost, who encouraged her to pick up her guitar for the first time since the singer's passing.
The Irish journalist posted a photo of Shane holding a guitar on Instagram and explained the "energy" she'd felt during the incident. "I haven’t played my guitar since @shanemacgowanofficial died but last night while I was trying to watch TV I kept getting nudges from him to open the drawer of his desk.
