Shane Gillis’ ‘Tires’ Season 2 Casts Thomas Haden Church
variety.comJoe Otterson TV Reporter Thomas Haden Church has joined the second season of Shane Gillis’ comedy series “Tires” at Netflix.
The show was renewed for Season 2 back in May ahead of the first season’s Netflix debut. Gillis self-financed the six-episode first season of “Tires,” with Netflix acquiring the show as part of a deal that included him getting another stand up special at the streamer.
That special is also expected to debut in 2025. Church will star in the show alongside Steven Gerben, Gillis, Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias.
The official logline for Season 2 states, “After the unexpected success of their big marketing idea, Will (Gerben) and Shane (Gillis) rush to grow personally and professionally without fully realizing the cost of doing business.” Church will star in the show as Phil, described as “Shane’s wealthy but immature father.
