Ayrshire crooks have conned a four-figure sum of cash from a pensioner.Police have launched a manhunt following the callous crime at a house on Bellesleyhill Avenue in Ayr.On Friday, August 6 a man turned up at the 66-year-old's house unannounced and claimed to be from a roofing firm and convinced the woman her roof needed repaired.The suspect returned the following day with another man at 11.30am and obtained a four-figure sum of cash for the work.However, the men left the area and the work has yet to be carried out.They drove a white van with a black logo on the rear door and a white coloured saloon car.The suspects were accompanied by a teenage boy, aged around 15 years who was wearing a grey-hooded top.Detective constable Gordon Thomson.
