manchestereveningnews.co.ukAn inmate who had a sexual relationship with prison officer Linda De Sousa Abreu was reportedly brutally attacked in prison while holding his three-month-old baby.
Burglar Linton Weirich gained notoriety last year for the prison affair that led to Abreu being sentenced to 15 months in jail.
After the incident, Weirich was transferred from HMP Wandsworth to HMP Swaleside, where he was allegedly assaulted by another inmate, causing him to fall on his baby and fracture her skull.
The police are currently investigating the incident, which occurred on December 18, and have identified a suspect, but no arrests have been made yet.
