metro.co.ukSex Education star Ncuti Gatwa has opened up about a time in his life where he became homeless and developed depression before getting his big break in the Netflix show.
Ncuti, 27, who plays the inimitable Eric Effiong in the show, revealed that life hasn’t always been easy when acting jobs were hard to come by.
After going four months without an acting job, prior to Sex Education, Ncuti had to give up his flat in London after running out of savings.
He told The Big Issue: ‘Being a 25-year-old man with no money or job affected my sense of self-worth. Rejection became unbearable.
