As if we couldn’t be more excited by the Sex and the City revival, there’s now an Irish connection. And we’re not talking about Sarah Jessica Parker’s love for Kerrygold.

The HBO series has just cast Sara Ramirez, an actor who identifies as Mexican-Irish in the reboot titled, And Just Like That.

The 45-year-old will play Che Diaz, a non-binary, queer stand up comedian that hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured.

Carrie Bradshaw on a podcast?! This really is the millennial reboot that it’s billed as! ‘Che is a big presence with a big heart whose outrageous sense of humor and progressive, human overview of gender roles has made them and their podcast very popular,’ the character description reads.
