SEVENTEEN singer Jeonghan is scheduled to enlist in the military later this month, the boyband’s label has announced.Today (September 12), Pledis Entertainment announced in a statement on fan community app Weverse that SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan will enlist for mandatory military on September 26.
The singer will be the first member of the boyband to do so.The label noted that due to Jeonghan’s enlistment, he will not be able to take part in the promotional activities for SEVENTEEN’s new mini-album and upcoming 2024 ‘Right Here’ world tour. “However, he will appear in various pre-recorded content,” it added.“There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the site of his military service,” Pledis Entertainment noted. “We ask for your continued love and support for the artist.
Kindly send your best wishes for his safe and healthy return.”The announcement took place on the same day that SEVENTEEN won the Best Group award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
