SEVENTEEN singer Jeonghan is scheduled to enlist in the military later this month, the boyband’s label has announced.Today (September 12), Pledis Entertainment announced in a statement on fan community app Weverse that SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan will enlist for mandatory military on September 26. The singer will be the first member of the boyband to do so.The label noted that due to Jeonghan’s enlistment, he will not be able to take part in the promotional activities for SEVENTEEN’s new mini-album and upcoming 2024 ‘Right Here’ world tour.

As such, he continued to perform with the group “while getting regular checkups on his ankle with medical professionals”.However, Pledis Entertainment noted that Jeonghan’s ankle injury recently had worsened over the course of the band’s ongoing ‘FOLLOW’ tour.

SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan recently underwent elbow surgery, according to his agency Pledis Entertainment.The entertainment company shared a statement today (June 17) on Twitter, sharing that Jeonghan underwent surgery on his right elbow on June 15 as a result of worsened damage to “his lateral epicondylitis and tendon”. It also noted that the singer had already been seeking “conservative treatment such as receiving injections” to the outer tendon of his elbow prior to the surgery.“The operation was successful, and the artist has been recuperating after being discharged as of Thursday the 16th,” Pledis Entertainment added.
