Fresh from skewering his employer, Seth Meyers has been rewarded with a new contract at NBC. Meyers will continue to host Late Night with Seth Meyers through 2028 and has extended his overall deal with Universal Studio Group.

It comes three years after NBC struck a deal with the former SNL star and head writer to renew the show through 2025. It means that there will be stability across late-night on NBC until at least 2026 after Jimmy Fallon extended his contract to host The Tonight Show in 2021.

Meyers is the latest late-night host to strike a new deal; John Oliver struck a deal in December to continue hosting Last Week Tonight through 2026, Stephen Colbert closed a new three-year deal for The Late Show on CBS last year and Jimmy Kimmel inked a three-year contract with ABC to keep hosting his eponymous show in 2022.

As part of the agreement, Meyers’ production company Sethmaker Shoemeyers, which he runs with Late Night showrunner Mike Shoemaker, will produce content across NBCUniversal platforms after extending its deal with the studio.
