A large emergency response was called to the scene of a serious crash in Oldham. The A663 (Broadway) was cordoned off in both directions shortly after 6pm on Tuesday evening (March 1).
Two cars are reported to have been involved in the crash, which occurred at around 6.20pm on the main road. Traffic was diverted by officers at the scene, with heavy traffic building on Denton Lane and Fold Green diversions. A large police presence was at the scene carrying out enquiries - with the closure stretching between Whitegate Lane to Newman RC School.
Officers from the serious collision unit and paramedics also attended, but the condition of casualties is not yet known. Police have not yet confirmed if there have been any arrests in relation to the incident.
