Selma Blair did not feel very well as a child.In the new issue of SELF Magazine she shared that she suffered from such bad headaches in middle school that she drank heavy amounts of alcohol to deal with the constant pain.And the 50-year-old star - who has MS - shared it was a form of 'self-medication.' She added, 'It helped.

In 2018, Selma was diagnosed with MS and finally had an answer to her ongoing ailments, which doctors had long thought were possible depression, malnourishment, or that she was faking it. 'I was overwhelmed by a sense of relief, like the way you feel when an ocean wave breaks right at the shore before taking you under,' she said.

She is now in remission, meaning that the disease is no longer progressing, and she has 'stopped losing abilities,' but she still has to deal with the complications.  'I’m so much better, but it haunts my physical cells.
