Couldn’t help it, it’s my first time in Telluride!” the Emmy nominee shared in an Instagram post of the meeting on Saturday.
The series of photos in the carousel begins with an orange sign which reads, “Selena Gomez, please sing the National Anthem @ one of home games,” with the Telluride High School team listing two dates — Friday at 6 p.m.
and Saturday at 1 p.m. — as options. In a video, Gomez is depicted entering a gymnasium, surrounding by the ecstatic team members in uniform, some of whom are screaming with enthusiasm and others who are recording the multi-hyphenate singer and actress. “I saw the sign, so I had to come by,” the Only Murders in the Building star is heard saying, as the high schoolers thank her for coming.
