A hotel in Cornwall offered a £135 room for an eye-watering £1,510 on Saturday night. But the three-star Newquay business has a good reason for the price surge - they actually don't want anyone to take it.
The Kilbirnie, a 66-bed hotel in the town, advertised a “superior double room with a sea view” on Booking.com for the huge sum, reports Cornwall Live.
It would have set you back over £1,500 on Saturday night - but on the plus side, you could have made a saving on Trivago … of £7.
Just when you might be thinking they’re trying to make a quick buck out of all the tourists desperate for a post-lockdown break in the sun, click on Expedia and the same room is just £170.
