'Scream 7' Begins Filming, Director Kevin Williamson Shares First Update After Day 1

It’s official – Scream 7 has started filming!! Director Kevin Williamson revealed the news on his Instagram on Tuesday evening (January 7), by sharing a photo of the first slate and a caption about the first day.

If you didn’t know, this marks a return to the Scream franchise for Kevin, who wrote the first two movies and the fourth.

This will be his first time directing one of the films. Keep reading to find out more… “I’m not supposed to post about Scream and I hope @spyglassmediagr and @paramountpics will forgive me but when you have one of the best days of your life it’s really hard to keep it to yourself,” Kevin shared on his page. “What an extraordinary day I had working with an amazing and talented cast and crew.
