Nicola Sturgeon has said she is "determined" that Scots will be able to vote at a second referendum on independence by the end of next year.
The First Minister used an interview today to claim Scotland faced a choice between going its own way or sticking with the "chaotic instability" of Westminster.
The SNP leader again pointed to her party's election victory at last year's Holyrood poll as proof she has a mandate to ask the country the big constitutional question for the second time in a decade.
Sturgeon declined to say when legislation paving the way for an IndyRef2 would be introduced at the Scottish Parliament - but hinted it could be in the "coming weeks".
