Scottish Election 2021: SNP candidate bitten by dog while out campaigning

election. Neil Gray, who stepped down as an MP to run for the Holyrood chamber, took to Twitter to say he had been bitten when he was out leafleting.

The candidate for the Airdrie and Shotts constituency said it's the first time in his 15 years of delivering a message for his party that he has been 'nipped by a dog'.

He urged people to be careful while out and about. Thankfully after receiving a tetanus vaccine and some antibiotics he is back out today.Gray is standing for the same seat he represented at Westminster.

He is looking to win the seat again for the SNP who have represented the area since 2011.The race to succeed Gray as MP for Airdrie and Shotts takes place a week after the Holyrood election on May 13.He tweeted: A busy day.
