Scottish council elections 2022: South Ayrshire candidates revealed for May 5 vote

A total of 61 candidates will contest eight South Ayrshire Council wards at the forthcoming local elections.Runners and riders were this evening unveiled across a number of key battleground seats as the campaign begins in earnest.

For those not yet registered to vote, applications mustreach the electoral registration officer (for Ayrshire) at 9 Wellington Square, Ayr, KA7 1HL by midnight on Monday, April 18.
