Scots youths set road on fire and toss fireworks into blaze as emergency services race to scene

Rampaging youths set fire to a road before throwing fireworks into the blaze this evening. Emergency services raced to Balgowan Avenue in Dundee after the alarm was raised at around 5.30pm.

At a time when children should have been heading out Trick or Treating, locals were urged to avoid the area after multiple fires were set on the road.

Shocking pictures showed terrifying scenes as four separate blazes burned, blocking the road.Cars could be seen parked nearby as horrified passers-by watched on.

It's understood fireworks were being thrown across the road into the fire before exploding in the blaze.Eye-witness Alex Walker, from Dundee, was forced to drive up on the pavement as he tried to escape the carnage.
