An unemployed construction worker who Sellotaped a knife to his hand and threatened to "chop up" police in a mid-afternoon standoff, is facing jail.
James Newbigging opened an upstairs window, gave police "the middle finger", and shouted "warrant!" after they arrived at a house in Bo'ness, West Lothian to deal with another matter.
Newbigging, 37, told them to "f*** off", Falkirk Sheriff Court was told, and refused to open the front door.
