New research has found that Scottish workers feel they need £48,000 every year on average to live 'comfortably'.Overall, UK workers involved in the research said that £49,300 would be needed for a less strained lifestyle, which is much higher than what most full-time workers are making.The figure is far from the UK median annual pay of £33,000 for full-time employees in the tax year ending in April 2022, according to ONS figures.It comes as a worrying 61 percent of those surveyed believed their salary is not rising in line with living cost rises.The research was carried out by recruitment business Reed who surveyed 5,000 UK workers with a range of questions on their salary and analysed job adverts.Could you live comfortably on £48,000?
