A woman has been left 'stressed and upset' after being racially abused on a bus in Edinburgh city centre. The 41-year-old, who wants to remain anonymous, was travelling home from shopping in the Southside area of the city on Sunday, September 10 when the incident happened.
She claims that a man, who got on at the Nicolson Square stop, struck her intentionally with his wheelchair before making racial comments at her for the duration of the journey.Speaking to Edinburgh Live she said: "It was Sunday afternoon, I was travelling home and he got on at the same bus stop as me.
He saw me sitting down and hit his wheelchair off my knee."It was intentional and then he started to shout at me all the way from Nicolson Square to Leith Walk.
It was so busy on the bus and there was a lot of traffic but he continuously cursed me and wouldn't stop."He said f*** your man f*** your cover f*** your religion f*** your country.
