Scots wildlife Park celebrates 1st birthday of rare Amur tiger triplets

Scots wildlife Park has wished a happy 1st birthday to its trio of rare Amur tiger cubs. The Highland Wildlife Park, near Kingussie, celebrated the birth of triplets Nishka, Layla and Aleksander last year.The three cubs were the result of the successful pairing of mum Dominika with new arrival to the park, Botzman.The cubs have been delighting the park's visitors and keepers ever since.Posting on their official Facebook page, the team at Royal Zoological Society Scotland run park said: "Happy 1st birthday to our Amur tiger triplets."Nishka, Layla and Aleksander had some big presents waiting for them this morning to celebrate!"They shared pictures taken by Head Carnivore Keeper Vickie Larkin, which showed the curious big cats with their gifts.Some fans were shocked by how big they were getting, while others congratulated them on their big day.One person wrote: "Happy birthday guys.

Visited recently, and they are absolutely beautiful."While another added: "It's so wonderful to see these magnificent animals, many people think that this environment isn't great but the work you do with endangered or at risk species is nothing short of amazing."Also known as the Siberian tiger, they are one of the largest cats in the world and in the wild are usually found in the far east of Russia, as well as small pockets in China and North Korea.An endangered species, here are estimated to be around 500 of them left in the wild.
