Scots warned to look out for fake bank notes marked 'for film and tv use only'

TV and film use are being circulated on Scots streets. Cops say the counterfeits have been found in the Falkirk and Grangemouth areas and are urging locals and shopkeepers to check their money carefully.

As well as money being marked 'for Tv and film purposes only', some of the notes also have spelling mistakes and can be told to be fakes.Sergeant Gorman, Falkirk, said "It only takes a few seconds to check any notes you receive to see if these are real notes or not.

We have recently seen notes with spelling mistakes on them and also notes that advise they are "for tv and film purposes only" so could I ask both retailers and members of the public alike to take a few seconds to check the notes they receive to prevent them receiving similar.
