Scots teen dies after 'collapsing on football pitch' at school

A teen has died after reportedly collapsing on a football pitch at a secondary school in Edinburgh.Emergency crews were scrambled to the incident at Forrester High School on Broomhouse Road at around 3pm on Tuesday, March 13.Despite paramedics's best efforts, the 15-year-old passed away following the incident, which Edinburgh Live reports happened on a nearby football pitch.Cops were spotted in the area in the hours after the tragedy.

The force say there are no suspicious circumstances.Speaking to Edinburgh Live, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the death and added: "On Tuesday, March 14, police were called to a report of a 15-year-old boy having collapsed on Broomhouse Road."There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."Devastated members of the public have been invited to a local church for a period of reflection following the teen's death.A short post from St David's Broomhouse Parish Church read: "Following the difficult circumstances earlier today, the church will be open tonight, 8pm-9pm for quiet reflection and the opportunity to light a candle.
