Scots shopkeeper charged with 'selling vapes to underage children'

A Scots shopkeeper has been charged with allegedly selling vapes to underage children.Police Scotland and Trading Standards officers joined forces for the probe on the unnamed shop in Clydebank where they seized a 'substantial' number of the devices.

Cheap disposable versions of the nicotine pens are popular with youngsters with a variety of flavours that appeal to underage youths.They also have a disastrous effect on the environment with rare metals needed for the batteries and plastics for the outside - which are then thrown away after they run out.A statement from Police Scotland reads: "A Clydebank shopkeeper found to be selling vapes to children, has been charged this week after a joint operation between Trading Standards and Police Scotland."Officers have seized a substantial quantity of vapes because of the operation.
