The dad of a five-year-old schoolboy whose skin doesn't shed due to a rare condition says cruel classmates are picking at his skin.
JJ Finegan, a p1 student, was born with ARCI ichthyosis - a mutated gene that prevents the body from naturally shedding skin cells.
His condition is so severe, a specialist told the family he'd never seen a case like it in 30 years.The youngster told his dad Jordan that other children were pulling at his skin and asking why he was different after his second day of primary school.Dad Jordan, from Gourock, said he was heartbroken after catching JJ looking at himself in the mirror and telling himself he wasn't beautiful.
Jordan, 30, told the Record: "We were quite shocked when he came home and said someone was 'bullying him'. "Some of his classmates have been picking at his skin.
