Scots salon owners have told of their horror after finding their shop trashed following an early-morning robbery. Joe and Lara Rawsthrone bolted down to their shop, Unity, in Edinburgh to find it completely ransacked on Tuesday morning, August 29.Lara, 41, sprinted to their beloved salon on Portobello High Street in her pyjamas after Joe received a startling text from a passer-by.
Lara and Joe found the salon's glass door was left completely smashed while several shelves and drawers had been opened leaving valuable hairdressing equipment scattered across the floor.
Joe told Edinburgh Live that a local resident heard a 'bang' noise around two hours earlier. The 42-year-old said: "At around 7.30am, I got a message from someone who just walked past the salon, telling me someone had broken in.
I told Lara, and she just bombed it down the street, she was in her pyjamas."We had tempered glass that had been hand-painted in our door and when that smashes, it breaks into a million pieces.
