Scots rugby legend Kenny Logan reveals 'huge shock' after cancer diagnosis

Stirling rugby icon Kenny Logan has revealed he is battling against prostate cancer.The former Scotland international revealed his “huge shock” at the diagnosis.Ex-Stirling County player Logan, who was born in the city, was given the worrying news back in February.In a social media post from his wife, TV presenter Gabby Logan, on Tuesday morning the couple revealed that the 50-year-old is recovering well after opting to have his prostate removed and claims he is “95 per cent back to normal” since he went under the knife three months ago.Speaking to BBC Breakfast News earlier that same day, he said: “It’s hard because when you’re told you’ve got cancer - I literally fell over.“I didn’t see it coming, no symptoms whatsoever, I had to go looking for it.”Logan represented his country 70 times, scoring 220 points, between 1992 and 2003.

His club career saw him star for County from 1989 until 1997, winning the Scottish Championship with the Bridgehaugh club.
