Scots pensioner has thousands taken in cryptocurrency fraud as two arrested

Two men have been arrested following an investigation into cryptocurrency fraud after an Aberdeenshire pensioner lost tens of thousands of pounds.The incident was reported to Police in July, 2024, after a 75-year-old Scot lost a six-figure sum.On Tuesday, 18 February, 2025, officers from North East division CID travelled to Coventry and Mexborough.With assistance from West Midlands and South Yorkshire Police, officers arrested two men, aged 36 and 54.
