A mum who was left scarred for life after an alleged bottle attack at a Scots nightclub has told how her wound left her young children terrified by the sight of her.Jeanette Irvine, 50, needed 11 stitches and her neck glued together after she was left with a nine-inch slash following a night out at De Vito's in Arbroath, Angus, on July 10.

The mum-of-six and gran-of-four had been enjoying drinks with her friends after spending the day in the sun.But the night turned sour when she was approached by another clubber, before a glass bottle was allegedly smashed against her face.Jeanette says the gruesome wound from her cheek to her neck and a black eye frightened her children so much they wouldn't come near her.She told the Record: "Me and my friend were up dancing and then a girl approached us.

I couldn't make out what she was saying because of the music."The next thing I knew I was on the floor and everything around me was spinning."Blood was pouring out of my neck.

One bouncer ripped her t-shirt off to try and stem the bleeding. I thought I was going to die, there was so much blood everywhere."I looked like something out of a horror film."My own children were left petrified by the wound, none of them wanted to come near me.
