A Scots mum is desperately trying to find a new home for her beloved pet Iguana as rising energy costs have put a strain on her ability to look after the pet.

Chelsea Cumming from Deidrige, West Lothian, says she is gutted about having to give up the animal but says that pressures borne from the cost of living crisis have left her with no other option.

The 32-year-old has made attempts to offer Figment to Edinburgh Zoo well as to Five Sisters but neither establishment was able to help her.
