A Scots mum has transformed her council house for less than £70 - even painting her couch.Niki Kennedy was fed up of her drab brown kitchen and well-worn white leather sofa - so she took matters in to her own hands.The Saltcoats mum-of-two says she was considering buying a new couch, but decided to save herself the cash and just upcycle her old one.She said: "It was a bit done and I was planning to try and get a new one, but then I saw someone one on a Mrs Hinch Facebook page had painted her leather couch so I decided to give it a go."Niki, 41, bought the leather dye from eBay and says the process was easy.She said: "You just paint it on with a sponge and do it in a few coats, but letting them completely dry for a couple of hours between
