A former Scots cop who brutally murdered his wife has been jailed for life.Keith Farquharson, a retired police officer, choked his wife Alice, 56, at the couple’s home in Aberdeen in August 2019.The 60-year-old then lied to detectives investigating Alice's death by claiming she had accidentally fallen from the bed.Callous Farquharson made up a tale that Alice had banged her head in the bedroom while he was in the shower.A jury at Glasgow’s High Court last month found him guilty of murder.Farquharson appeared again before Lady Valerie Stacey to learn his fate where he was told he would spend a life sentence behind bars.Farquharson's QC Ian Duguid described how the father-of-three had started his professional life as a quantity surveyor
